The first General Assembly of 2025 of the Liptako Water Agency (AEL) was held on Friday, July 18, 2025, in Dori. Convened by the Director General, Mr. Yaya BADOLO, this meeting provided an opportunity to review the implementation of activities during the first half of the year and to outline the perspectives for the remainder of 2025.
Overall, the assessment is encouraging both in terms of physical achievements and morale. At the end of the first semester, the Agency reported an implementation rate of 64%, a result considered satisfactory given the difficulties and constraints encountered, particularly insecurity. These results were made possible thanks to the mobilization, solidarity, commitment, and above all, the resilience of the entire team. The workforce now counts 26 active members, and a strategic review has been initiated to better adapt to new realities.
On the morale front, participants praised the commitment and attentiveness of the Director General, Mr. Yaya BADOLO, while emphasizing the need to strengthen internal communication, both upward and downward. Appropriate tools will be gradually implemented to improve information flow and working conditions.
For the second half of 2025, the Agency aims to consolidate its achievements, increase the visibility of its actions, and strengthen institutional communication. These efforts are intended to ensure better ownership of issues related to integrated water resources management in the Liptako area.
